Description

I feel the need to dissect the description for the Digital Art > Drawings gallery:

"Digital Art done via the use of computer-aided drawing tools or the digital techniques are similar to those found in traditional drawings."

First of all, is it me or is the sentence not grammatically correct?
I'd have written it like this:
"Digital art done via the use of computer-aided drawing tools and/or using techniques that are similar to those found in traditional drawings."

computer-aided drawing tools? I'm a bit confused. To me a "tool" is something that you click on in the tools palette of an application like Photoshop. That is not not computer "aided", that is entirely computer created. I don't understand how there can be any "computer aided tools" at all. Does an actual, real pencil become a "computer aided tool" once you scan the lines and edit them photoshop? Or do they think that the pencil tool in photoshop is "computer aided"? Am I just this dumb or is there something strange here?

"..techniques that are similar to those found in traditional drawings."
I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean either. The dodge and burn tools are named after the non-digital techniques used to lighten and darken photos in the dark room. So they are not techniques found in "traditional drawings". So the dodge and burn tools are ruled out? But if you used the brush tool to get exactly the same visual result, that's okay because the brush tool has a traditional equivalent - a real brush, that is - that could be used for traditional drawings?

well, that was my rant, thanks for reading!
